College Prep & Tutoring

One of our associates, Davida S. James, worked for the director of UCLA Undergraduate Admissions for almost three years during the transition of UC’s comprehensive application review policy. This included reading and evaluating undergraduate admissions applications, writing special correspondence that was not covered by the usual form letters, and counseling students whose admission status was under question and those who chose to appeal the university’s denial of admission.

Davida also taught High School English in the Los Angeles Unified School District, was a private tutor and developed an adult literacy program for the nonprofit she founded.

  • We have other freelance consultants working with us who are experienced tutors and retired teachers.

The combination of these qualifications, particularly at UCLA Undergraduate Admissions, places our staff in a unique position to be able to offer your child expert college admissions counseling. We can provide a structured road map to help your them become more competitive for university admissions and “read between the lines” of the college admissions evaluation process.

We can work with students and/or their parents individually or in groups. And remember, with the writing portion of the SAT exam, it’s never too early to help your child improve their writing skills.

We can provide:

  • One-on-One writing tutoring
  • One-on-One or group college prep counseling
  • Parent consultations
  • College Admission Seminars
  • Long-term college coaching
